If you are a soccer buff then must be waiting for the 2010 FIFA World Cup which is just about to happen. It is the 19th FIFA World Cup which is going to be held in South Africa. The tournaments will commence on the 11th June, 2010 and will continue for one month. South Africans are very much excited about it as the country is first time hosting this tournament. The decoration has already been started and the whole country is waiting for the upcoming event. The whole tournament will be held in nine top cities in the country where almost thirty two teams will be participating.
2010 FIFA World Cup Mascot
The name of the official mascot of the 2010 FIFA World Cup is Zakumi. Zakumi has been sketched as a leopard which has a yellow body and green hair. This funny illustration has been done by Andries Odendaal, an artist of Cape Town in South Africa. The colors of Zakumi are influenced by the official jersey colors of South Africa.

2010 FIFA World Cup Venues
Nine cities of the country have been chosen for the tournaments of 2010 FIFA World Cup. The cities which have the larger stadiums are selected for this international tournament. New construction works in five stadiums are going on. Some renovations are also on the process in the rest of the stadiums. 2010 FIFA World Cup venues are as follows:
