One day he was caught. Claudius imprisoned him and declared sentenced death. It is told that he was in love when he was in the prison. His lover, who was the jailer’s daughter used to meet him secretly. Before death Valentine stated his love for the young girl by writing a letter and finished with the line “from your Valentine”. Many years’ later youngsters in Rome started celebrating their love relationships on the death day of Valentine. They named the day as the Valentine’s Day. Gradually it became the universal lovers’ day.
