Christmas is a traditional festival. Worldwide this event is celebrated with fabulous enthusiasm. It is not a festival to celebrate only on 25th December. Throughout the entire month, Christmas party has been celebrated. The evening before Christmas is known as Christmas Eve. Every year on 24th December night people remember the birth of Jesus Christ. It’s an exciting moment and no doubt the occasion brings out lots of enjoyment in life.

Tradition of Christmas Eve



A number of Roman Catholics and Anglicans involve themselves in celebrating the event. They come together to take part in the midnight Mass celebration. It starts sometime before midnight of Christmas Day. Methodists join the celebration in various ways. Some of them come to the church early in the evening. They gather there to celebrate Holy Communion with their family members.

How to celebrate Christmas Eve?



Start with decoration work. The night before Christmas is precious indeed. It’s the time to set up the nativity scene. You can collect new ornaments for your Christmas tree. Spread Christmas scents around the place.

Try to make a special Christmas meal. If you are serving the Christmas dinner with ham or turkey, you can add warm pot of chili to it. You can also cook traditional foods for this special occasion.

Invite your friends and well-wishers on the occasion. Throughout the whole night celebrate the occasion.

Apart from enjoying Christmas Eve party, you can also enjoy the night watching exciting movies. For more fun, you can rent ‘White Christmas’, ‘A Christmas Carol,’ ‘Holiday Inn’ or ‘Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol.’

Enjoy a candlelight service or Midnight Mass. You can also feel the beauty of the season by walking through the snow. In this way, you will be able to cherish local Christmas lights.

Involve all the children. Prepare a Gingerbread House or cookies for Santa Clause. Ask the little children to track Santa’s improvement through Internet.
