Christmas Gatherings

The best way to experience God's love during the holiday season would be by arranging for a couple of Christmas Gatherings. Contrary to what many people think, organizing Christmas gatherings aren't all that difficult an ordeal. It's the simplest way to escape from the mundane, routine daily existence and seek refuge in the preaching of Lord, the Almighty. In the course of our lives we experience a whole lot of ups and downs but the one who sails us through all thick and thin is God, our Savior. Christmas Gatherings are by far the best way to surrender oneself to God and what better time can one arrange a gathering other than at Christmas time when everyone are at their spiritual peaks.

Organizing a Christmas Gathering is an easy affair, all you are required to do is convince a couple of speakers to speak on the subject, issue invitation cards and prepare adequate food supplies for a coffee meet or if you desire to make a little more elaborate, a dinner party. But in between refreshments are a must even if you are arranging for a dinner party.

Unlike a typical Christmas party, Christmas Gatherings are a lot more spiritually oriented and thus certain rules and regulations should be kept in mind while organizing one. Decide on the place and date where you would like to host it. Arrange for a couple of professional speakers and notify them about dress code, prayer procedures and follow up if necessary. Hand deliver invitations to a minimum of thirty guests, then only can you expect ten people to turn up. Decorate the room cheerfully and specifically mention that a friend would like to share his thoughts on God with the rest of the house. Use nametags on seats and keep the phone of the hook during the proceedings. If you desire to handle it in a more professional manner look up books on Christmas Gatherings like The Joy of Hospitality, by Vonette Bright and Barbara Ball. Keep it on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday mornings so that everyone can attend.
