The delicious delights require no introduction. Cookies
have always occupied a very special place in our hearts
and over the years their stupendous popularity has lead
to their inclusion in the holiday traditions. Sweetmeats
have always stolen the show and the traditional Christmas
dinner would seem way too bland without Christmas
desserts but cookies are a different class
all together. Ideal as Christmas showers they have become
near monopoly Christmas trims whose fame remains unequalled
to any other trim that has made it so far. But preparing
cookies for friends at home adds to the fun and this
factor is conspicuous by its absence in the store made
cookies that seem quite impersonal and distant.
If the tempting and mouthwatering pictures of the Christmas
Graham Cookies in the Christmas goodies recipe
sites are too much for you to resist, yet the price
tags are way too high for you to afford, we have a simple
solution for you. Try your hands at some and you might
just come out with flying colors. They are easy to prepare
and require relatively less time. Ingredients required
are1/2 cup butter, 1 beaten egg, 11/2 cup flour, 3/4
cup Graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup light brown sugar,
1 tsp. vanilla or vanilla extract, 11/2 tsp cinnamon,
1/4 cup honey and 1 tsp. baking soda.
Prepare a light and fluffy consistency mixture by beating
butter, sugar, honey and vanilla. Mix a batter prepared
out of egg, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and Graham
Cracker Crumbs. Shape 1-inch balls out of the dough
and bake for a minimum of 8-10 min on a 350 degree heated
oven till the edges of cookies turn slightly brown.
Cool the cookies on a wire rack after removing them
from the cookie sheets. Serve with other assorted cookies.
