Attractions in Massachusetts

The state known as the Athens of America, Massachusetts, is a quaint and charming place to be in. The Victorian opulence of the New England state in north eastern United States radiates through its grand architecture, the host of literary population, academia and cultural institutions. Massachusetts abounds in some of the best protected buildings and neighborhoods in the country. The streets lining the places are concrete, walkable, historic, clean and nostalgic. 123New Year is here to stay with all that you need to know about Attractions in Massachusetts.

For a start, you can take a look at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst. The museum was founded by Eric Carle, the renowned author and illustrator of more than 70 books, the most famous of them being The Very Hungry Caterpillar (1969). This museum is the first of its kind in the country to be dedicated to national and international picture book art, the art form that every child is first exposed to.

The 3 galleries are dedicated to rotating exhibitions of picture book art, a hands-on art studio, an auditorium for performances and lectures, a library where you can read comfortably, a café serving simple and mouth-watering fare and a Museum Shop stocked with gifts and art favorites.

Travel to one of the country's original highways through the wondrously unsoiled idyll, that is the Franklin County. The countryside is beautiful with a landscape that's enriching in terms of both history and the culture of eclecticism. This is the most rural country in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Farms and lush green vales comprise the village- scape as do the state of art museums, schools and seats of culture. Located in the eastern part of Massachusetts, the Historic Deerfield Museum welcomes visitors to Deerfield's mile-long thoroughfare called the Street. The Look Memorial Park is located on the Berkshire Trail (Route 9) in the heart of the Pioneer Valley. It provides you with bumper boats, the picnic stores and the Christiansen Zoo, not to mention the water spray park.

One of New England's mini- Smithsonian constructs, the four Springfield Museums are arranged in a beautiful park that also hosts the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture and Garden. The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center is a 735 acre woodland stretch featuring exotic and indigenous islands. To know all about Attractions in Massachusetts, look into123New Year.
