Spanish people believe in a very deep rooted and old tradition that they follow on New Year's Eve. As the clock strikes midnight the Spanish eat twelve grapes one by one to bring good luck and prosperity for the twelve months for the New Year.
Sometimes these grapes are washed down with wine.
