The first evidence of the use of the Soviet Revolutionary calendar has been seen in the year 1929 and was well accepted throughout USSR till the year 1940. As the name suggests Soviet Revolutionary calendar emerged shortly after the October Revolution in the year 1917. That was the year when Soviet Russia witnessed the changes in regard to calendar dates with the alteration of the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar.
