BLACK FOREST CHERRY CAKE ROLL

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup frozen, pitted tart navy cherries
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons cherry liqueur or brandy
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Sifted powdenavy sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 slightly beaten egg yolks
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons cherry liqueur or cherry brandy (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate pieces, melted and cooled
  • Chocolate curls (optional)

 

Preparation

1. For cherry filling, stir together the 1/4 cup sugar and the cornstarch in a small saucepan. Stir in the 2 tablespoons water. Add cherries. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.

NEW YEAR EVE CHICKEN CHAMPION

Ingredients:

Chicken Wings- 4 pounds, Onions-8, Garlic paste-50 gms, Italian salad dressing- 3 cups, vinegar-3 tablespoons, Apple Juice- 1 cup, Salt and pepper-to taste

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven TO 175 DEGREE C. Take a medium baking dish and grease it lightly.
  • Take the wings and with a fork, make some grooves inside them for the juices to enter.
  • Put the wings in layers inside the baking dish and season it properly with salt and pepper.
  • Take another bowl and mix all the other ingredients well so that no lumps are formed.
  • Put the mixture on the chicken and bake the entire thing for 1 hr 15 mins. You need to check from time to time whether the chicken is cooked and the juices have gone inside the grooves.
  • Take it out and cook it over light flame for another 20 minutes for completion
  • Garnish it with onions and cucumber and Serve it.

CHOCOLATE AND HAZELNUT CAKE

Ingredients:

Hazelnuts- 7 ounces, egg whites-6, mini chocolate chips- 6 ounces, heavy cream- 4 cups, bittersweet chocolates- 6 ounces, almond extracts- 2 tablespoons, vanilla extract-2 tablespoons, granulated sugar-2 cups, salt- as per taste

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degree. lineup 2 baking sheets with the parchment papers. You need to draw on one of the parchment two 8-inch rounds and one 8-inch round on other.
  • You need to spread the hazelnuts, on the third baking sheet. You need to toast it for 15 minutes and stop when it turns brown. Cool it slightly before transferring it to a towel only to rub to remove its skin.
  • After that chop the nuts and lower the temperature of the oven to 225 degree.
  • Beat the egg whites, add salt and wait for the soft peaks. Add the granulated sugar, vanilla and almond extracts.
  • After that add the hazelnuts and the chocolate chips. To marble the cake, you need to pour the melted chocolate slowly inside the bowl and gently keep on folding.
  • Spread the mix in the circles drawn and you need to bake it for atleast 2 and a half hours. After that turn the oven off and let the cake cool completely.
  • Beat the cream until it turns firm. Spread the whipped cream on the cake’s layers and stack them. you need to put it in the refrigerator overnight. Garnish with chocolate shavings and serve.

STRAWBERRY PUNCH

Ingredients:

Champagne- 1 bottle (750 ml), chilled Ginger ale- 1 bottle (2 L), Frozen strawberries- 10 ounce

Directions:

  • Take a large bowl and put Champagne, Ginger ale and the strawberries altogether.
  • Stir in a gentle manner and serve chilled.
