The Nine of Coins (Pentacles) card portrays a mature woman walking through a vineyard. The woman has a calm and composed look about her.

She wears a golden yellow robe that has motifs of flowering plants – all these speak of her aristocratic background, upbringing and refined taste. The vines are in full bloom which also indicates material abundance.

The nine golden coins around her are symbols that she has successfully accomplished her desires. In the background a large house can be seen which is presumed to be the lady’s house – this accentuates her comfortable and secured state of being.

A falcon sits calmly on her left hand – this indicates her intellectual and spiritual self control and the fact that she is blissfully engrossed in her own world. Across her path, near her feel, a snail denoted by a blue shell, is seen – however, the lady is too preoccupied to be aware of that. The card portrays a general sense of contentment and peace.

Upright Position: In a reading this card indicates financial independence and opulence. The subject is not ready to enjoy the fruits of hard work. She/he is self sufficient. Tarot Cards (Major Arcana) – Moon

This card is represented by the Zodiac Sign Pisces and element Water. The card shows the moon casting a dreamy light.

The Moon represents intuition, dreams and this card helps us to delve in the unconscious. The light of the moon is a reflection of that of the Sun. The light of the moon is dim - it illuminates softly. It creates an aura of mystery, uncertainty and vagueness. This is not enough for us as we journey towards higher consciousness.

Associated with the planet Mercury and having the properties of both Air and Earth elements, The Magician represents skill, reasoning power and sharp intellect.

The Knight of Batons card portrays a warrior who is riding his horse. The knight is determined to succeed in his mission.

The Knight of Swords card portrays a young warrior fully prepared in arms and armors riding a powerful white horse. He is galloping towards the battle field at a distance.

The King of Wands card portrays the king sitting on the throne holding a blossoming wand in his hand. The blossoming wand is a symbolic representation of life and creativity.

Minor Arcana – King of Swords

The King of Swords card portrays the King to be sitting on his throne. He wears a blue tunic and a purple cape. Blue symbolizes spiritual learning and purple is representative of compassion coupled with intellect.

He holds a large double edged sword in his right hand that is pointed upwards. His left hand is placed gently on his lap.

The middle finger of his left hand (also known as the Saturn finger in divination terminology) is adorned with a ring. His hold posture exudes power and the fact that he is serious about his responsibilities. The background consists of azure sky with very few clouds – meaning that the vision and mind of the King has clarity.

The upright trees in the background represent the King’s stern judgment and also reinstate the fact that the King implements justice in a firm manner.
