  • New Years Eve Fireworks at the Inner Harbour

The waterfront at Baltimore comes alive and gives a magnificent view, when the starry sky is lit with the fireworks display at night on December 31st each year. A tradition that has been standing for almost thirty years now, the Inner Harbour, which can be called Baltimore’s entertainment district, with a host of dining as well as drinking places, along with shops from where you can pick up almost everything, becomes the centre of the fireworks display. The Seaport at Inner Harbour dates its origins to almost 300 years as it was established during the 1700s and has been the cultural centre of the city ever since.

If you’re a music lover then you can be at the Inner Harbour Amphitheatre at night and listen to a host of bands play live music for your entertainment, later at midnight the main fireworks display starts with is synchronised to music in the form of choreography. So head way to Pratt as well as Light Street where the events will take place.

  • Midnight at Noon

For those of you who come with the little ones and would like them to enjoy New Years Eve without actually having to miss their bedtime and make it special at the same time, then Midnight at Noon is just the thing for you. Maryland Science Center, has made it possible for kids to celebrate New Years Eve, by hosting an annual event which a great option for families, as the event centres around activities that include crafts and hence engage children into creating their own decorations and craft pieces for the New Years.

The Center also has a children’s band which goes by the name Milkshake. The activities usually start around 10 in the morning and go on till 2 ‘o’ clock in the afternoon. Another option offered is that of interactive activities that are musical and are conducted by the improvisation group known as Now This! Except the normal museum charges that are applicable for adults and children no extra admission charges are asked for this activity.

  • The New Years Cruise

There are a host of New Years Eve Cruises that are started at night and last till past midnight into the New Year. The cruises being on sort of dinner boats, with drinks and food being served, you can enjoy the display of fireworks, the view of the night sky, and raise a toast to the onset of a New Year. The event being a formal one, you can take your loved ones out to this event and bring a classy end to the Year. So head to the Baltimore Marine Center and hop on-board any of the New Years Eve Cruises of your liking.

  • The Baltimore Nightlife

If you’re the kind who likes to party then Baltimore provides a lot of clubbing options to your liking too. There are entertainment complexes a few blocks away from the entertainment district of Baltimore, the inner Harbour area, or if you like the Vintage feel, the Countdown ball with its ballroom that was built in the 1840s is a good option. Another good option are the parties held at the Baltimore City Center which normally start by 9 and go on till the wee hours of the morning.
